No two pieces are the same. That’s exactly what makes vintage so interesting.
Nothing is added to the collection without a careful inspection. Each piece is cleaned, checked and prepared before it’s ready for its next owner.
Good design was made to last. Choosing vintage means giving those pieces another chapter instead of replacing them with something new.
Whether you’re in the Netherlands or on the other side of the world, Toast’s Vintage Finds can arrange shipping for every item. Larger pieces can be delivered through trusted furniture couriers.

Every piece at Toasts Vintage has a story long before it arrives here.
Most of the collection comes from Denmark, where I’ve build relationships with dealers and private collectors. Every couple of months I rent a big van and head north, visiting familiar addresses and following new leads in search of Scandinavian furniture, lighting and home accessories.
Those trips are never just about buying. They’re a chance to catch up with people I’ve known, meet new faces, and stumble across places and pieces I never would have found otherwise. Some of my favourite finds have come from the most unexpected conversation and places.
Over time, Denmark has become much more than a place I source from. I love the landscape, the slower pace of life and, naturally, the design culture. Spending time there has shaped the way I look at vintage and what I choose to bring back.
I don’t buy by the container or fill stock for the sake of it. Every piece is chosen individually for its craftsmanship, character and the feeling that it will still be just as good years from now. My aim is simply to find authentic Scandinavian vintage that deserves another life in someone’s home.

Every piece I source has a history, and very few arrive in perfect condition. That’s exactly as it should be.
I actually enjoy finding pieces that need a little attention. Light wear, minor veneer repairs or small imperfections don’t put me off if I know I can restore them properly. Seeing a well-made piece regain its character is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
There are limits, of course. I leave behind anything with serious structural damage, missing parts or defects that can’t be repaired. Everything I offer is something I’d be happy to use in my own home
Before anything is added to the collection, I decide what it needs. Sometimes that’s no more than a thorough clean and a fresh coat of furniture oil. Other pieces need more extensive work, such as veneer repairs, sanding, new wiring or recreating missing parts.
I restore where it’s needed, but I don’t try to make vintage look new. The aim is to preserve the character of each piece while making sure it’s ready for everyday use again.
